small win: nausea stopped being a problem at week 35
small win: nausea stopped being a problem at week 35, logged the same way every week so the comparison is at least internally fair.
Bought four different things to fix my sulphur burps. What actually worked was eating half as fast.
injection-site soreness for the first eight days after each step, then nothing, every single time. Predictable enough that I started planning my week around it.
Screenshot none of this. Read the whole thread, including the parts where I am told I am wrong.
best — the order this archive was captured in
The effect on gastric emptying is most pronounced early and attenuates with continued dosing, which is the mechanism behind the "it settles at a stable dose" pattern the whole board reports.
eating slower does more than most of the supplements people recommend
the food noise going quiet is the effect people came for, and sulphur burps are the toll for the first fortnight
Small fix — the shedding follows the rate of weight loss, not the compound, and it is temporary.
write down when it starts and stops, the pattern is the useful part
Correction: that is a known effect of reduced intake rather than a direct drug effect. The distinction matters because the fix is different.
What is intake actually looking like — fibre and water especially?
A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 46 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.
Kept a one-line-a-day log for two months. The pattern was obvious on paper and invisible in my head.
Cosigning the fibre and water answer. Unglamorous, free, and it fixed it for me inside a week.
On buying things to fix side effects, which I did extensively and would not do again.
The interventions that changed anything for me were all behavioural and free: smaller meals, eating slower, stopping food a few hours before sleep, more fibre and considerably more water. The things I bought did nothing I could detect, and I was motivated to detect something.
The other lever, which people forget, is time at dose. Holding rather than stepping is a legitimate plan and it fixed my tolerance where nothing else did.
early fullness on day two and gone by day four is the standard shape
That symptom is not the one being described upthread. Two different things with similar names and the answers are not interchangeable.
Yes — the day-two-to-day-four window is so consistent across this board that it is almost diagnostic.
Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.
Agreed on writing it down. I could not see the pattern until I had six weeks of it on one page.
the first fortnight after a step is the worst of it, then it settles
Mine settled at week 62 and has not come back since, across two more steps.
Constipation is mostly reduced intake plus reduced fluid, not a direct effect. That is why the boring fibre and water answer keeps working.
holding a dose an extra month is a legitimate answer to bad tolerance
Held the dose for an extra six weeks instead of stepping. The reflux settled and I lost the same amount anyway.
Yes. Holding the dose is a real option and it does not mean you have failed at anything.
Severe or persistent abdominal pain sits outside the pattern this board can usefully discuss. The honest answer there is that it needs someone who can examine you.
Has anything else changed in the same window?
fibre and water before you buy anything to fix it
the fatigue that arrives at week 89 out of nowhere is usually something else
hair shedding follows the weight loss, not the drug, and it stops
fatigue plus low intake is usually just low intake
Is it every week or did it start at a particular dose?
