[Discussion] we talk about dose like it is a score and it is not
Week 26 update. 37kg down from the start, early fullness basically gone since about week 78.
Things that worked: consistency, protein at breakfast, walking more than I want to. Things that did not: everything I bought on the internet to help with early fullness.
The part that surprised me is how much of this is admin. Ordering, storing, logging, remembering. Nobody mentions that the hard bit is not the drug, it is the routine.
Happy to answer anything. Please do not ask me what dose you should be on.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Right, and the corollary is that stopping escalation does not reset your tolerance, it just pauses the clock.
Are you on a pen or research vial? Because the trajectory is different.
stalled at 0.25mg, went up, and regretted it, the stall would have broken anyway

Slight fix: the number was 97.6, not 98.9. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.
The evidence standard in c/vendorvetting gets called too strict about once a month, and every time, the thread ends with the complainant agreeing.
Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 21–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.
week 11 and i am still not at maintenance, do not rush the ladder

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 57 weeks to accept.
Ozempic versus Wegovy versus research grade is the wrong argument, they are literally the same molecule
nope, 0.25 counts, it is just not the dose most people stay on
Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 8–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.
pens are overpriced, research vials are research grade, same molecule different price
Week 21 for me and the honest summary is: 14kg down, muscle cramps manageable, and the quiet happened around week 3.
Ireland here. Waited 21 months on an NHS list, gave up, went private, and the cost was half what I expected but the admin was worse.
How long were you at 2.5mg before you moved up?
You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.
Strongly agree. If it is not working at 1.0mg after 78 weeks, going up is not automatically the answer.
How long were you at 10mg before you moved up?
the quiet is real. the food noise just stops.
What colour is the pen? Wegovy and Ozempic use different formulations.
my A1c moved before the scale did and i nearly missed it
