cloudy after reconstitution — discard, right? right.

Correction Cold Box ×3 Sourced ×2

bacteriostatic water. That is the whole post, but I will justify it.

Everything else people worry about in c/glp1muscle is downstream of it. Titration speed, reflux, the endless dose arguments — most of it resolves if you sort bacteriostatic water out first, and almost nobody does.

I say this having got it wrong for 21 months. My fasting insulin was the thing that eventually made me pay attention, which is a stupid way to learn a lesson that was in the sidebar the whole time.

Yeah, showing the arithmetic is the fastest way for someone to spot the error.

Cored the stopper on my 23th draw because I kept using the same entry point. Rotate the puncture site.

Mechanistically the bit that matters is reconstitution. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.

dead space is real and the syringe matters

I love that this community will spend 40 comments on a detail. That pedantry is why the numbers here matter.

Small correction: the trial was 3 weeks, not 4. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

i am begging people to write down the concentration

u/arto_falk59 points·13 days ago

Spent 6 weeks confused about concentration math until someone showed me the table. 5mg, 2mL, concentration is 5/2.

30mg vial, 2mL water, concentration is 30/2 — write it on the vial afterwards

Retitled to remove editorialising. Put the evidence in the body.

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

Adding to this: concentration is doing more work than the comment implies.

stopper coring on the 24th draw because you keep using the same entry point. rotate.

This is correct. 2mL versus 6mL is the common mistake.

Every time this gets posted it hits the front page and every time someone has to re-explain it.

the concentration on the vial in marker is the most important step

Cosigning. The concentration on the vial in marker is load-bearing.

About c/reconstitution

The arithmetic and the technique. Bacteriostatic versus sterile water, reconstitution volume as a concentration choice, converting mg/mL into insulin-syringe units, dead space, swirl-not-shake, stopper coring, and how long a reconstituted vial is actually good for. Math errors get corrected fast and politely.
