Body weight varies by a couple of kilos day to day through fluid, glycogen and gut content, which is why a single weigh-in is noise and a fortnightly trend is signal.
Rate of change is not a virtue. Slower trajectories are as durable as fast ones and are considerably better represented on this board than the front page suggests.
Weighing under consistent conditions — same time, same state, same scale — removes most of the apparent variability people find distressing.

I would not treat a two-kilo range as a regain. Weight varies day to day in everybody.
Stalled for 21 weeks and measured my waist out of stubbornness. It had moved. The scale had not.
Stopped reading the fastest posts here for a month and my mood improved considerably.
What are you actually celebrating today? Genuine question.
Correction: 8kg over 13 months is a different claim from 8kg in a month, and the post reads as the second.
