almost quit at week 4 because "it stopped working", so glad I didn’t
Three weeks of steady loss, then week 4 the scale just... stopped. I had the pen in my hand ready to just not bother with the next dose. Posting the after because I nearly didn't get one.
Nothing dramatic, just a normal week 6 breakthrough after a normal week 4 stall, and a reminder to myself and anyone else standing where I was.
best — the order this archive was captured in
this is genuinely why the account exists. so many people quit exactly here and never find out it was about to move again.
if I'd googled "week 4 stall" instead of just staring at the scale I'd have found your entire posting history and saved myself a week of panic
genuinely happy for you, this is exactly the kind of post that talks the next person off the ledge. well done for pushing through the scary week.
four weeks is basically the minimum time before "stall" is even a meaningful word. good on you for not making a decision on week 4 data.
and probably worth saying: nothing "started working again", it likely never stopped, the rolling average almost certainly kept ticking down under the flat raw numbers
going back through my own numbers now and yeah, there's a faint downward line the whole time, I just couldn't see it day to day
this thread should be required reading before week 4 for everyone starting, not just something people find after they've already panicked

not sure what that said but replying anyway to say thank you for whatever it was probably trying to be supportive about
this is why I stopped weighing daily and switched to twice a week, took the emotional rollercoaster out of it entirely
counterpoint from a data person: I'd rather weigh daily and average it than weigh less and get two random noisy points, but if less frequent keeps you sane that's a completely valid trade
caught this fresh, genuinely glad you didn't quit, this comment section is wholesome
three years in myself and I still remember my own week 4 wall vividly. it never fully leaves you as a memory even after it stops mattering.
read this before commenting on anything today, glad it was this one, good way to start the morning honestly
alt account, main is somewhere in this thread probably being the sensible one, just wanted to say congrats too
