unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about beginner is guesswork

Discussionbranch of 10 comments

unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about beginner is guesswork. Not a hot take, just something I have not seen said plainly here. Week 4 for me was completely flat and I was convinced something was wrong. It was not. Month two was where everything happened. Research-use-only material is not approved for…

The vocabulary, once, since half the questions here are really vocabulary questions.

Titration is stepping the dose up slowly for tolerance. Reconstitution is adding water to a freeze-dried powder. Bacteriostatic water contains a preservative; sterile water does not. COA is a certificate of analysis — a lab document about one batch. Area percent is a purity measure from that document, and it is not the amount of peptide in the vial. Units are a volume on an insulin syringe, not a dose.

That is most of the jargon on this site. The wiki has the longer version of each and it is linked in the sidebar.

Removed for rudeness. Bad questions are welcome here; being unpleasant to someone for asking one is not.

Spent my first fortnight comparing myself to the loudest posters. Do not do that; they are not the middle of the distribution.

titration means going slow on the way up

lina_adebayo has explained this better than the wiki does, which is saying something.

What does the wiki page on this say — genuinely asking, not deflecting?

About c/newbiequestions

The deliberately gentle community. Every question that gets an eye-roll elsewhere lives here: what does titration mean, why do I feel nothing in week two, is this normal, what is bac water, what is a COA. Rudeness is removed faster than bad questions.

  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.

Before you read on

Several compounds discussed on GLP Research Hub are sold for research use only and are not approved for human use anywhere. Nothing here is medical advice and none of it is written by your clinician. If a post reads like an instruction, treat it as a description of what one stranger did.
