Ordered from the warehouse in New Zealand instead of origin and the whole customs question disappeared. 8 days, door to door. Packaging is assessable on arrival with no equipment: rigid outer, no movement inside, the cold element sized to…
A lane is an origin, a destination, a carrier and a season. Change any one and the distribution changes, which is why supplier-level shipping averages are close to meaningless.
6 days on a lane quoted at 12 is the shape you want
Where did the time actually go — international leg, clearance, or last mile?
Yes — regional stock is the single biggest variable and it barely gets mentioned outside this board.
a quoted lead time you can hold them to is worth more than a fast one you cannot
Same. Homopeptide quoted 19 days on my lane and it landed at 5, which is exactly what you want from a quote.
Correcting myself: 4 days, not the figure I posted upthread. I was counting from the order date rather than dispatch.
Disagree. That is a customs hold, not a carrier delay, and lumping them together makes the lane table wrong.
summer and winter are different lanes with the same name
Same lane in a different season for comparison?
