[Meta] the NHS rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining

NHS

Genuinely asking, not being difficult.

Everyone in c/dosinglogs repeats that NHS is important. I believe it, but I have never seen anyone show why, and when I search I get 6 threads of people agreeing with each other.

Is there a paper? Is there a measurement? Or is this one of those things that is true because it has been repeated since 2023?

I am not trying to be the "source?" guy. I would just like a source.

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

Strongly agree. MHRA is region-specific.

Mechanistically the bit that matters is pricing. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.

This is an urgent-care question wearing a forum question's clothes. Please contact a clinician rather than waiting for replies.

The tier 3 pathway in my area: 18 month wait, then 14 months for review, then approved. Total NHS.

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

c/glp1uk rules
  1. No naming online pharmacies that prescribe without a consultation.
  2. Price posts need the date — UK private pricing moves monthly.
  3. NHS pathway questions: say which nation. England, Scotland, Wales and NI differ.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.

Before you read on

Several compounds discussed on GLP Research Hub are sold for research use only and are not approved for human use anywhere. Nothing here is medical advice and none of it is written by your clinician. If a post reads like an instruction, treat it as a description of what one stranger did.
