can we stop arguing about lost money until somebody posts a number — that is what I am asking, and I have already read the wiki twice.
Escalating faster than the schedule allows is the most frequently described regret on the site, and the mechanism is straightforward: tolerance is the limiting factor and it does not care about impatience.
Nothing here is medical advice, and the honest version of most of these posts is that they describe consequences rather than causes.
Lost money to a shop that had nothing verifiable on file anywhere. Posting so that somebody searching that name finds this.
Please do not ask me what dose you should be on. I genuinely do not know and neither does anyone else here.

That was a hold rather than a loss, and it resolved. Updating rather than deleting.

Disagreeing with the self-blame in this line. Some of it is luck and treating everything as a lesson is its own trap.

Gently disagree with the self-blame. What you describe is a procedural gap, and the procedure was not written down anywhere for you to follow.

Contemporaneous notes matter most in exactly the situations where people are least inclined to write them. Memory reorganises a bad fortnight into a tidier story with a clearer villain.

Told everybody, then stopped, then had to tell everybody that too. That was harder than any of the rest of it.
