Chased the scale instead of the measurements for a year and made myself miserable for no additional progress. Stopped for financial reasons and regained most of it. Not a moral story, just a budget…
Most of what gets posted here is procedural rather than dramatic: a step skipped, a document not requested, a temperature not considered, a pace chosen out of impatience.
Where a supplier has no independent testing on file, that is a statement about the evidence and not about their conduct. Saying it the second way is how this board would stop being useful.

How long did it take you to notice?
Contemporaneous notes matter most in exactly the situations where people are least inclined to write them. Memory reorganises a bad fortnight into a tidier story with a clearer villain.
