quit cold, regained fast, and I’m still working through how I feel about that

Failure Slow Clap ×5

Ran out, didn't reorder for reasons that don't matter here, and the regain came back faster and harder than I expected. Not looking for fixes, mostly just needed to say this somewhere that wouldn't immediately turn into "just restart" advice, though I know that's probably where this ends up eventually.

not going to jump straight to advice. this sucks, and the speed of it catching people off guard is a really common and under-discussed part of this whole process. sorry you're in it.

thank you, genuinely, half of what I needed was just someone not immediately trying to fix it

the speed thing is real and matches the withdrawal-arm data pretty directly, this isn't a willpower failure, it's roughly what the trials show happens when the drug stops without a plan for it. that doesn't make it feel better in the moment but it's not a personal failing.

knowing it's "expected" and having it not hurt any less are two different things, but I appreciate you saying it, helps a little

here to say well done for posting this honestly instead of disappearing quietly, that takes something.

Leaving this up as-is, no action needed. This is exactly the kind of honest post this community should have room for without turning into unsolicited advice in every reply.

gently pushing back on the room's tone here, at some point "no advice wanted" and "posted on a discussion forum" are slightly in tension, isn't part of posting publicly at least implicitly inviting some responses beyond sympathy

I think you can invite responses and specifically not want prescriptive advice at the same time, those aren't the same ask, and OP was pretty explicit about which one they wanted

fair, rereading the post that distinction was clearly made and I glossed over it, apologies

three years here and posts like this are honestly some of the most valuable ones on the whole site, not because they solve anything but because they're true

read four thousand posts before commenting on anything, commenting on this one just to say it's seen

  1. No piling on. Someone posting a mistake is doing the community a favour.
  2. Still evidence-based: what went wrong, when, and what you can show.
  3. No "told you so" comments. They are removed without discussion.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
