[PSA] cold chain is not what most of this community thinks it is
cold chain is not what most of this community thinks it is, written plainly and without the jargon that usually swallows this topic. What actually matters, in order, because these threads always start at the wrong end. State first: dry powder is comparatively robust, reconstituted solution is not. Most of the anxiety…
A transit temperature logger records a distribution, and time above a threshold matters as much as peak temperature. That is the argument for logging rather than guessing.
fridge, not freezer, once it is in solution
That is the ambient temperature at the destination, not the temperature inside the box. The logger measures the second one.
Correction: that stability figure covers the lyophilised powder, not the reconstituted solution. Different claim entirely.
A stability statement is only meaningful with its conditions attached: temperature, duration, light exposure, and whether it covers powder or solution. Ask which.
